SCX-2x1-HC60 is built on the same hardware and offers the same 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 or 5K@30Hz 4:4:4 video delivery, USB 3 5Gbps data connectivity and secure Ethernet connection. The only difference is that it does not include LARA (Lightware Advanced Room Automation), making it the cost-effective choice for rooms that need reliable AV and USB switching without embedded automation, while integration with external room control systems is still fully supported.
Same Performance without LARA control, better price
The SCX-2x1-HC60 is the value model of the HC60 universal switcher family. It shares the same hardware, video performance and connectivity as the UCX-2x1-HC60, so participants can use their own laptops and preferred video-conference platforms while taking advantage of the room's HDMI displays, cameras and USB peripherals. Supporting 5K formats, the device drives 5K 21:9 ultrawide displays, and with uncompressed HDMI 2.0 video and ultra-low latency it suits simulation, engineering, broadcast and executive boardroom applications. The only thing you don’t benefit from compared to the UCX is the built in room automation, so you pay only for the capabilities your room actually needs.
Exploit the Possibilities of USB Connectivity
The device uses USB-C connectivity for simplified transmission of 4K video, audio, control signals, power and USB 3.1 Gen1 with data speed of up to 5 Gbps and video resolution up to 5K30, 4K60 or 5K30 at 4:2:2. Users who connect via USB-C also enjoy charging up to 100W, eliminating the need to look for a wall plug. Devices without USB-C connect quickly using a combination of HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.1 Gen1 without compromising resolution or data speeds. The device connects up to four USB peripherals, supports up to two hosts, and switches quickly between them, making it a good fit for smaller meeting areas of 4-8 people. On top of using the configurable built in automated host switching you can connect your own room control system.
Standalone by Design
The single difference from the UCX-2x1-HC60 is that the SCX does not include LARA (Lightware Advanced Room Automation). For rooms that rely on an external control system or that simply need reliable switching without embedded automation, the SCX delivers identical AV performance at a lower price point.
Additional Features and Capabilities
Security remains a key priority, so the SCX-2x1-HC60 adheres to the same strict standards as the UCX. Secure corporate Ethernet interfaces ensure protected device control and configuration under SSH, SSL and HTTPS, and the device can be connected to a closed network of room-control devices such as wall panels, or routed to the corporate system via separate Ethernet path. Like the rest of the HC60 family, the device is password-protected with a unique, factory-generated password, aligning with cybersecurity regulations including the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). The device offers noiseless, fan-free operation.
SNMPv3 Monitoring and Remote System Logging
The switcher supports SNMPv3, the latest and most secure SNMP version, and can be integrated into standard IT monitoring systems such as SolarWinds, Nagios and Zabbix. It also supports remote system logging via industry-standard Syslog protocols (RFC 3164 and RFC 5424), allowing integration with external SIEM and log-monitoring systems, with log forwarding via TCP, UDP or TLS.
