LARA Wizard Update: New Microsoft Teams Rooms and Custom Display Features Now Available
We're excited to announce two powerful new features recently added to the LARA Wizard that expand your room automation capabilities and display control options.
MTRoA - HP Poly MTR on Android Wizard Integration
The LARA Wizard now includes dedicated support for Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android (MTRoA) with HP Poly systems. This new functionality enables seamless room control through HP Poly video conference systems running on the Android platform.
What's included:
- Source selection via the Poly touch panel
- Customizable panel and source button labels for intuitive operation
- Advanced room control functions: Light control via GPIO, Ethernet, or Serial protocols, Display power management (ON/OFF), Possibility of custom defined ON/OFF commands
Supported devices:
- All Lighware MMX2, UCX standalone, and TX-basic RX bundles
- HP Poly Studio X series
- HP Poly Studio G7500 / G62
This easy-to-use Wizard based integration brings user-friendly room control to your HP Poly MTRoA environments, allowing users to manage sources, lighting, and displays directly from their familiar Poly touch interface.
Custom Display Support
The Custom Display feature gives you flexibility when working with display brands beyond the standard supported models.
Key benefits:
- Universal compatibility - Define your own ON/OFF commands for any display manufacturer
- Protocol flexibility - Works with Ethernet or Serial interfaces
This feature is perfect for installations using that aren't covered by the standard LG Signage, Samsung QMF, or Sony Bravia drivers. Now you can integrate virtually any display into your LARA Wizard-based automation workflow.

The wizard's interface guides you through configuration, and you can download your LARA configuration file ready to upload to your Lightware devices (Taurus or MMX2).
