Lightware extends Cisco integration, empowering integrators to build complex AV solutions with ease
We have extended our Cisco integration with two new tailored options, including a new solution for UCX-3X3-TPX-RX20 receivers.
“The already strong Alliance Partnership between Cisco and Lightware enhances hybrid workspaces by expanding connectivity and enhancing control options, with simple source switching, reliable AV transmission and complete room control. The extension of this collaboration enables us to deliver even more control to complex systems, ensuring users can simply “setup and go”, without the need for custom programming.”
- Gergely Vida, CEO of Lightware

The Cisco Webex Module, built into the Lightware Advanced Room Automation (LARA) system, works with all standalone Taurus UCX devices or Taurus TPX models connected to any Lightware HDMI receivers, including HDMI-UCX-TPX-RX107, HDMI-TPX-RX106, HDMI-TPX-RX107. The integration allows for streamlined control of room peripherals such as displays, projectors and lights for a simplified setup process.
The second tailored integration solution, dedicated to systems using UCX-3X3-TPX-RX20 receivers, is Cisco Room Device Integration with Cisco Source Expansion Logic. This new integration option brings enhanced functionality to setups where sources are connected both to the transmitter and receiver sides. Users can switch between sources, either manually using their preferred Cisco touch panel or automatically via Lightware’s LARA module. Lightware’s Taurus TPX builds upon the innovation of the Taurus UCX, addressing the need for extended connections in larger spaces such as lecture theatres and boardrooms. The two-box solution with transmitter and receiver allows diverse multimedia signals to be sent over distances of up to 100 meters with just a single Cat6 cable, freeing users from the constraints of USB and HDMI cables. When used alongside Cisco’s advanced collaboration solutions, it helps streamline operations and expand connectivity in more complex systems. The streamlining of setups has proved particularly powerful in corporate and educational spaces such as the offices of Lockton Companies, the world’s largest privately held insurance brokerage. Lightware’s recent moderinization of the brokerage’s AV solutions utilized their Cisco integration to eliminate complex control systems and custom programming needs.
At Lightware we are always looking for new and exciting ways to make life easier for our customers, which is why enhanced Cisco integration is such an important step forward. This strengthening of our partnership allows us to keep working together to find solutions that meet the demands of modern meeting setups, streamline operations for IT teams and empower systems integrators with the tools to build hardworking AV systems with ease.
