Integration Performance
The Lightware X Cisco integration for source expansion remains fully functional on both RoomOS 11.33.1.3 and 26.0.0.26 in:
• RoomOS experience
• Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) experience
Supported connection types:
• LARA-based integrations via Ethernet and Serial Port
• CRCW-based integrations via Serial Port
Lightware Integration
Power-up your hybrid meeting room with more features and add room control to the Cisco touch panel.
Additional Notes from Testing
• Downgrade from RoomOS 26.0 (MTR experience) is not supported directly: confirmed by Cisco Engineering. To revert to 11.33 or earlier, the process is:
Factory Reset → Register to Webex → Downgrade via Control Hub → Factory Reset → Register to Microsoft Teams
• RoomOS 26.0 introduces a new UI with a refreshed side panel, redesigned share screen interface, and customizable backgrounds: signaling a visual shift in Cisco’s meeting experience.
The recent tests confirm that Lightware’s LARA and CRCW-based solutions maintain reliable integration with Cisco Room Devices across both Webex and Microsoft Teams environments, even with the structural and UI changes introduced in the latest RoomOS versions.
For integrators, this means continued confidence in Lightware’s compatibility roadmap, ensuring consistent source expansion and control capabilities in mixed collaboration environments.
