LARA Wizard Adds Stream Deck Room Control
Not every room needs a touch panel. Some just need a few buttons that always do the same thing. The LARA Wizard can now generate a complete Elgato Stream Deck room controller in four steps without programming.

Layouts That Match the Hardware
LARA Wizard automatically builds a layout based on the selected Stream Deck model:
- Stream Deck Mini: 4 source keys + 2 room controls
- Stream Deck Neo: 4 source keys + 4 room controls
- Stream Deck MK.2: 4 + 4 source keys across two outputs + 4 room controls
The Wizard only allows icons to be placed on keys that exist on the selected model, helping users avoid layouts that do not fit the hardware.
Keys That Show the Room State
The buttons are not only used to send commands. They also report status back to the user. Source keys dim when nothing is connected to the input, while the currently routed source displays its selected icon. Room-control keys follow the real power state of the device they control.
This gives users a clear view of the room’s status directly from the keypad.
Flexible Placement with Network Dock Support
The Stream Deck can be connected directly to the host device’s service USB port or used over the network with an Elgato Network Dock. This helps overcome USB cable-length limitations and allows the keypad to be placed where it is most convenient in the room.
If the keypad is unplugged and reconnected, it comes back automatically without restarting the configuration.
Supported Devices
The integration supports Stream Deck Mini, Stream Deck MK.2 and Stream Deck Neo. On the Lightware side, it works with all Taurus UCX and DCX matrix switchers, including TPX and TPN models, as well as all MMX2 devices. TPN and GVN MMU devices are supported over Ethernet through the Network Dock. The feature requires LARA 2.0.3 or newer, activated on the host device.
